Youth Video Competition for Paris 2015 is Launched

Starting from June 5, 2015 young people around the globe are invited to share what they are doing to combat climate change in the Global Youth Video Competition on Climate Change.
Two winners will get a trip to the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris in December 2015 (COP21), where they will join the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) communications team as videographers and reporters.
Youth are invited to submit videos on engaging in climate action, key outcomes of their action, their success in meeting the climate change challenge locally and ways in which other youth across the world can get involved.

National Children's Competition "SECOND LIFE OF WASTE"

Do you know how to save the environment clean and protect the nature? Share your best experience with us and participate in the National children's competition "SECOND LIFE OF WASTE", supported by the UNDP-GEF Small Grants Programme in Ukraine. Bring your idea to life, make a useful thing and help our nature! The winners will receive prizes and participate in the All-Ukrainian children's environment forum to be held June 4-5, 2015 in Kyiv. Entries are acceptable until 20 May 2015.

Partner Network "Education for Sustainable Development in Ukraine" to take part in the International Forum “Environment for Ukraine 2015”

On 22 – 24 April 2015 Partner Network Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Ukraine will demonstrate its achievements during a specialized exhibition on ESD issues within the framework of the International Forum “Environment for Ukraine 2015”.
On 22 April the Partner Network will hold a round table discussion “Education for Sustainable Development, Sustainable Public Procurement and other Important Factors of the Green Economy Development” within the framework of EU-NGOs Project "Capacity Development for Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) in Ukraine".

The GEF Small Grants Programme in Ukraine will discontinue acceptance of project concepts and proposals until further notice. It is planned that we will resume working on project concepts and proposals on July, 1, 2015. We thank you for understanding and considering this information.

The CLIMBIZ Challenge– implemented in partnership with the UNEP, UNDP and IUCN founded SEED Initiative – supports innovative small-scale and locallydriven entrepreneurships in the Black Sea region which integrate social and environmental benefits into their business model. The goal of the CLIMBIZ Challenge is to support these entrepreneurs to scale up and replicate their activities across the Black Sea region.

Rolex Awards invites applicants with innovative conservation projects

Since their initiation in 1976, the Rolex Awards for Enterprise have supported more than 30 environmental projects impacting over 60 species of rare and endangered plants and animals. On many occasions, Rolex Laureates and Associate Laureates have been supported and guided in their work by IUCN. Laureates have in some cases been members of and even led SSC Specialist Groups.

Dear Partners! As part of OECD’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, a video competition for young people has been launched. If you are, or you know someone, aged between 18 and 25 and like making short videos, tell us what you think “Progress is”. Three lucky winners will be selected and invited to Paris in May, all-expenses-paid, for a special screening of the videos at the OECD Forum.
